SUBJECT:
Approve Request to enter into a 48 month lease agreement with John Deere for golf course equipment effective October 1, 2021.
SUMMARY:
We are requesting your approval to enter into a 48 month lease agreement with John Deere for new golf course equipment at a monthly expense of $6,924.82. This new equipment would be fully under warranty with the exception of standard monthly maintenance for the term of the lease.
John Deere supplies everything we would need under one agreement without having to outsource multiple vendors. This new equipment would allow us to complete several projects on the course that we would have had to otherwise rent equipment to complete.
Everglades Equipment is a local vendor, allowing us to purchase many of the needed monthly supplies right on Orange Avenue. (Replacement Blades, Oil, etc.) and currently provididng services to the CIty of Fort Pierce. It is on the basis that the Purchasing Manager recommend that competitive procurement be waived and that the aboce item be treated as a "Single Source" commodity.

Staff recommendation is to approve the request.
ALTERNATIVES:
There are other vendors that supply some of the necessary equipment, but John Deere is the only one that would be able to have all required pieces under one lease agreement.
