SUBJECT:

Approval to award Bid no. 2021-026 for Sale of Surplus Property at Avenue B, identified by Parcel ID: 2410-604-0134-000-7 to highest ranked responder, Brego Construction.
 

SUMMARY:

The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency is the owner of real property located at Avenue B, identified by Parcel ID: 2410-604-0134-000-7, with a legal description of: BENJ HOGG’S ADDN BLK H LOT 6 (MAP 24/10D) (OR 2868-1582).
 
The property was declared surplus by the FPRA Board on January 16, 2018.The subject property is located on Avenue B in the City of Fort Pierce, Florida. The lot is rectangular in shape and consists of +/- 0.17 acres or 7,500 square feet. The property is located at the southern boundary of the historic Lincoln Park district near the Peacock Arts District. The property is in walking distance to Downtown Fort Pierce and the Orange Avenue corridor which is experiencing revitalization.
 
Bid number 2021-026 was issued on May 12, 2021. The invitation was sent to 414 vendors. Six (6) responses were received for Avenue B.

In accordance with the Policy for the Disposition of FPRA-owned property, staff recommends the CRA Advisory Committee review the request and forward a recommendation to the FPRA Board for approval of the sale of real property located at Avenue B, identified by Parcel ID: 2410-604-0134-000-7, to Brego Construction, Fort Pierce, Florida.
 

RECOMMENDATION:

Award bid for Avenue B to highest ranked respondent, Brego Construction.
 

ALTERNATIVES:

Award bid to second highest ranked respondent or issue a new bid.
