SUBJECT:
Approval to partner with Treasure Coast Food Bank to submit a Rebuild Florida Infrastructure Program grant for the construction of a new regional emergency food distribution facility.
SUMMARY:
Treasure Coast Food Bank seeks to partner with the City of Fort Pierce in applying for a Rebuild Florida General Infrastructure Grant in the amount of $22,000,000.00. The funds will be utilized to construct a regional emergency food distribution center, to be located at the corner of Kings Highway and Pruitt Research Road. The project is expected to cost $35,000,000.00. The organizaiton has raised $13,000,000.00 for the project match. There will be no financial contribution required for the City of Fort Pierce.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval.

Staff will proceed as directed by the City Commission.
