SUBJECT:

Request from owner Erica D. Baker, 2502 Mohawk Avenue, Ft. Pierce, FL for an extension of time of 6 months to pay reduced code enforcement, lot clearing, and emergency repair liens against 1002 Avenue E, Ft. Pierce, FL.  On April 6, 2015 the City Commission approved the reducing the liens to $2,869.11 payable in 60 days.

SUMMARY:

On May 28, 2015 received request for extension of time to pay the reduced liens totaling $2,869.11.  Ms. Butler is requesting the City Commission to allow her an additional 6 months for all 3 lien payments.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends granting Erica D. Butler the extension of time to pay the reduced liens.

This recommendation is based on:
  1. Erica D. Butler's health is failing her.
  2. There is a sale pending.
  3. The Special Magistrate recommended to allow her 6 months to pay the reduced code enforcement lien.

ALTERNATIVES:

  1. Deny request.
  2. Determine alternative amount.
