SUBJECT:
Approval of Traffic Equipment from Econolite Group, Inc. of Jacksonville, Florida the City's sole source provider of traffic control equipment in the amount of $69,890.
SUMMARY:
The purchase will allow for intersection upgrades to the Orange Ave corridor to make connection back to the City's central traffic control system located in Engineering. Once completed it will allow for active fault monitoring and centralized control of the corridor. This upgrade will also allow for the implementation of the next phase to upgrade and connect the 25th Street corridor to the City's central control system next year. In addition to the intersection upgrades the purchase also includes spare parts for daily operations.
