SUBJECT:

Approval of FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Agreement modification #2 for the North 17th Street (Orange Ave to Ave D) Drainage Improvements Project.

SUMMARY:

The North 17th Street (Orange Ave to Ave D) Roadway Improvement Project is funded through a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Agreement that is managed by the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM). The grant agreement's period of performance was set to expire on December 31, 2021. October 2021, we requested a time extension due to project delays. The project was completed in December 2021. The time extension is to have close-out procedures such as FDEM inspection and project certification submittal completed. On March 25, 2022, we received approval to modify the grant agreement's period of performance to June 30, 2022.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of the agreement. Federal funding for the project will be withheld.

Staff shall proceed as directed by the City Commission
