Authorize staff to enter into negotiations with the Original Florida Hall of Fame Highwaymen, Inc. to operate the City of Fort Pierce Florida Highwaymen Museum as the only responsive bidder for RFP 2022-021.

On June 14, 2022, the FPRA Board issued RFP 2022-021 to operate the City of Fort Pierce Florida Highwaymen Museum.  The operator would be expected to work closely with the Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency and City Staff to ensure that a community facility is developed to showcase the vibrant arts in Fort Pierce. All submittals were due no later than 3:00 PM on July 21, 2022. 

The City received one (1) response to the RFP. The only submittal, from the Original Florida Hall of Fame Highwaymen, Inc., was deemed to be responsive and staff has reviewed the proposal and supporting documentation provided. 

The action requested is to grant staff approval to enter into negotiations with the Original Florida Hall of Fame Highwaymen, Inc. to manage and operate the Highwaymen Museum.

Staff recommends authorization to enter into negotiations with the Original Florida Hall of Fame Highwaymen, Inc. to operate the City of Fort Pierce Florida Highwaymen Museum as the only responsive bidder for RFP 2022-021.

Staff will proceed as directed by the FPRA Board.
