SUBJECT:
Approval to award a contract under the 2015 Florida Sheriffs Association & Florida Association of County Bid #12 (14-12-0904), to Palmetto Ford Truck Sales, Inc. Miami Florida in the amount not to exceed $133,999.00 for the purchase of a 2015 Ford F 750 Grapple Truck.
SUMMARY:
The purchase of one (1) 2015 FORD F750 GRAPPLE TRUCK is for residential waste collection and disposable purposes. This vehicle will be used to replace current equipment that is inoperable.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Public Works Department recommends contract award to the 2015 Florida Sheriffs Association & Florida Association of County Bid #12 (14-12-0904). Award recipient, PALMETTO FORD TRUCK SALES, INC, Miami Florida in the amount not to exceed $133,999.00.
ALTERNATIVES:
Advertise technical specifications for this vehicle for competitive bid which is anticipated to be more time consuming and less cost effective.
