SUBJECT:
Approval of agreement between the City of Fort Pierce and the Original Florida Hall of Fame Highwaymen, Inc. to lease an adjacent parcel and the parking lot at the Jackie Caynon Building, located at 1234 Avenue.
SUMMARY:
The Original Florida Hall of Fame Highwaymen, Inc. currently has an executed agreement with the Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency to lease and improve the Jackie L. Caynon Building, located at 1234 Avenue D, an adjacent vacant parcel of land, and the parking lot. The parking lot and the parcel are owned by the City of Fort Pierce and is part of a proposed plan to renovate the building and improve the parking lot, and surrounding property to create the City of Fort Pierce Highwaymen Museum. This lease formalizes an agreement between the organization and the City for use of the parcels owned by the City.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval.

Staff will proceed as directed by the City Commission.
