SUBJECT:
Approval of Letters of Appreciation to Representative Dana Trabulsy and Senator Erin Grall for support of Avenue D Road Improvement $1.5 million Appropriation.
SUMMARY:
Due to the support of Representative Dana Trabulsy and Senator Erin Grall, the City of Fort Pierce received a $1.5 million appropriation from the Florida Legislature toward the proposed Avenue D Road Improvements, The funds were included in the budget signed by Governor Ron DeSantis on June 15, 2023. The $3,000,000 project spans 1.84 miles from North 29th Street east to Indian River Drive, providing safer connectivity between Lincoln Park and Edgartown. The project is expected to be completed in July 2024.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the letters of appreciation.
ALTERNATIVES:
Staff will proceed as directed by the City Commission.
