SUBJECT:
Approval of PRP Construction Group, LLC Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $110,250.00.
SUMMARY:
The Ohio Avenue Roadway Reconstruction project extends between U.S. Highway 1 and 11th Street a distance of one-half mile. The project includes new potable water, sanitary sewer upgrades, storm drainage facilities, sidewalks, and complete roadway reconstruction. The project was awarded to PRP Construction at the June 5, 2023, City Commission meeting. The original award did not include streetlight conduit and handhole installation as staff intended to contract with FPUA to complete this work. However, due to their contractor's workload they have requested that our contractor provide the required labor services for the proposed streetlighting installation along this corridor.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval.
ALTERNATIVES:
Request quotes from other vendors which will result in delaying the construction commencement of the roadway project.
