Review of Commercial Facade Grant Application - 2203 Orange Avenue - Ft Pierce Police Athletic League Inc DBA St. Lucie Sheriff's PAL
 

The intent of the Commercial Façade Grant Program is to significantly enhance the appearance of buildings and eliminate blight within the FPRA district. This program is designed to encourage redevelopment of the FPRA by enhancing its visual esthetics, which will lead to increased property values, tenant occupancy, economic development, and job creation. The program offers financial assistance in the form of a reimbursable grant, matching 50% up to $25,000.

The applications were evaluated on the following evaluation criteria: visual impact, activation of a vacant building, business type, and goals of the FPRA Plan. 

The CRA Advisory Committee recommended approval for the Commercial Facade grant to Ft Pierce Police Athletic League Inc DBA St. Lucie Sheriff's PAL located at 2203 Orange Avenue.

The CRA Advisory Committee recommends approval to the FPRA Board for the two highest ranked applications, Gloria Roa Bodin, P.A.located at 215 N. 2nd Street and St. Lucie Sheriff's PAL located at 2203 Orange Avenue.

At the December 12, 2023, meeting, the FPRA Board awarded the following properties a Commercial Facade grant: 
$15,000 - 215 N 2nd St - Gloria Roa Bodin P.A.
$10,000 - 500 Orange Ave - 4616 Investment, LLC.
$10,000 - 701 Atlantic Ave - Michael D'Addesi
$10,000 - 710 Orange Ave - Botanical Sanctuary LLC 

The FPRA Board requested renderings of the proposed shade structure for the property located at 2203 Orange Avenue.
