SUBJECT:
Approval of the first amendment to Continuing Contract RFQ 2019-027 for Professional Engineering Services to Captec Engineering, Inc. to include required contract provisions.
SUMMARY:
Recent reviews of the City's Continuing Professional Engineering Service Contracts (RFQ 2019-027) noted that updates were needed to Insurance, Indemnification, and E-Verify sections of the original contracts. Staff is proceeding to update all Professional Engineering Continuing Services Contracts to meet these updates.
Staff has coordinated with Captec Engineering, Inc and the First Amendment has been signed by their President.

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval and authorization for the Mayor to sign the First Amendment.
ALTERNATIVES:
The City will be unable to utilize these contracts without the updated requirements. Projects will be required to be advertised for services, or a new RFQ will need to be advertised.
