SUMMARY:
A 'conditional use - no new construction' application has been submitted for review to operate Play Money Family Fun Center. The proposed location is 2765 Peters Rd., Bay #'s22-28, in the Crossroads Plaza. The property's zoning is C-3, General Commercial with a future land use designation of GC, General Commerical. Per the City's Allowable Use Table Sec. 125-187, Indoor Entertainment: Arcade Amusement Center/Amusement Arcade is conditionally based under the current C-3 zoning.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends Approval of the conditional use and that the following conditions be applied to the approval of this use:
- No game shall be played by persons who are under 18 years of age unless "exception" is granted by City Commission.
- Alcohol sales or consumption shall be prohibited in amusement arcades and arcade amusement centers unless "exception" is granted by City Commission.
- Amusement arcades or arcade amusement centers shall not exceed 9,000 square feet unless "exception" is granted by City Commission.
