Approval of Amendment 1 to Florida Job Growth Infrastructure Grant Agreement with State of Florida Department of Commerce

On August 30, 2022, Governor Ron DeSantis awarded the City of Fort Pierce a $2.7 million Florida Job Growth Grant to help fund infrastructure improvements along Indian River Drive in Downtown Fort Pierce. The critical infrastructure improvements include water, wastewater, electric, fiber, natural gas, roadway, and sidewalk improvements.

Resolution 22-R48 and Florida Job Growth Grant Agreement G0100 were approved by the City Commission on 12/19/22 and ultimately executed by the state in April 2023.

Staff is requesting this amendment to adjust Section 4, DELIVERABLES, of Exhibit A to modify the reimbursement benchmark percentages for design, engineering, permitting activities. This change will enable the City to request reimbursements at defined stages of completion percentages.
