VIOLATIONS:

Section 103-341 – Vacant buildings
IPMC 304.6 Exterior walls.
IPMC 304.7 Roofs and drainage.
IPMC 304.13 Window, skylight, and door frames.
IPMC 304.2 Protective treatment.

RECOMMENDATION:

The city requests that if the Special Magistrate finds the violations exist, that the following be ordered:
  1. The violator(s) be given 30 days to:
    • Properly board up and secure all windows and doors. 
    • Paint all peeling areas and bare wood.
  2. The violator(s) be given 30 days to obtain a permit and comply with all permit conditions to address:
    • Repair walls where there is damage and holes in the bricks. 
    • Repair and replace the rotting and missing wood on the fascia and soffit areas around the home. 
    • Ensure doors are properly installed and secured for the home. 
  3. Failure to comply will result in a fine of $250.00 per day being assessed.
