- Approval of Municipal Finance Equipment Lease-Purchase Application for 22 vehicle for the Police Department
SUBJECT:
Authorization of expenditure of $900,098.70, which will be financed over five years at an annual payment of $218,814.91 for the attached Municipal Finance Equipment Lease-Purchase Application for 22 vehicles necessary for Police Department operations.
SUMMARY:
The Police Department is requesting approval of the attached Municipal Finance Equipment Lease-Purchase Application for 22 vehicles necessary for Police Department operations. The total cost of the accusation is $900,098.70 which will be financed over five years at an annual payment of $218,814.91. After the five-year term, the Department will have the option of keeping the vehicles for a nominal fee. This will allow the Department to keep the serviceable vehicles in service for several additional years. The Department will also have the option to turn in the vehicles for a credit (the wholesale value of the vehicle) for a replacement vehicle.
The pricing of the vehicles is through a Piggyback Agreement off the current Charlotte County Purchasing Agreement with Bartow Ford.
These vehicles will fill a number of needs within the Police Department.
