SUBJECT:
Approval of the collective bargaining agreement between the City of Fort Pierce and Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association (Sergeants' & Lieutenants' Unit) October 1, 2024 - September 30, 2027.
SUMMARY:
Negotiations begin in mid June, 2024, and the City and Union came to an agreement in August, 2024. There were several minor economic changes to articles pertaining to allowances and stipends, and a 9% increase for officers plus advancement to the next step in the compensation step plan. A redlined version of all negotiated changes is attached to this agenda item.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval.
ALTERNATIVES:
Staff would go back to the table and continue bargaining with the Unit.
