SUBJECT:
Approval of Change Order No. 8 to General Contractor Services-Highway Museum in an amount not to exceed $9,569.15 for the City of Fort Pierce Florida Highwaymen Museum renovation project.
SUMMARY:
The original budget for the bathroom and kitchen plumbing was $10,700. Change Order 4 for the bathroom renovation included an additional $4,700 for plumbing improvements, raising the total to $15,400. The final plumbing contract amounts to $23,250, resulting in a difference of $7,850. This difference is due to unforeseen circumstances, as there were no construction drawings available at the time of the bid.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of Changer Order No. 8 to General Contractor Services-Highway Museum in an amount not to exceed $9,569.15 for unexpected additional plumbing costs.
ALTERNATIVES:
Staff will proceed as directed by the FPRA Board.
