SUBJECT:
Approval of Security Camera System, Police Department, Securitas Electronic Security, Inc. Uniontown, OH, in the amount of $255,845.72.
SUMMARY:
The Fort Pierce Police Department is requesting to purchase a new security camera system for both the Police Department's main station and the Willie B. Ellis substation in the amount of $255,845.72 for the security and safety of the department. The current system is antiquated, failing, and beyond repair due to its age. Securitas Electronic Security is a single-source vendor that currently provides all the security needs for City Hall and remote sites. On this basis, staff recommends that competitive procurement be waived and that the above item be treated as a "Single Source" commodity.
