SUBJECT:
Legislative Hearing - Ordinance 25-006 Establishing the Symphony Lakes Community Development District. SECOND READING
SUMMARY:
This ordinance will create the Symphony Lakes Community Development District (CDD). A Petition to establish the Symphony Lakes Community Development District (“District”) was submitted by Welsh Road Land Investments, LLC, to the City Commission of the City of Fort Pierce, Florida (“City”) pursuant to the Uniform Community Development District Act of 1980, Chapter 190, Florida Statutes. The proposed CDD is generally located east of Selvitz Road, north of Devine Road, west of South 25th Street and southeast of Glades Cut Off Road, and contains approximately 87 +/- acres.
The proposed CDD is designed to provide a financing mechanism, as well as a long-term operation and maintenance entity, for community infrastructure and services, including but not limited to, the funding and construction of parks and facilities for indoor and outdoor recreational, cultural and educational uses, and security for the site, including but not limited to guardhouses, fences, gates, etc. as authorized and described by Section 190.012(2), Florida Statutes.
