SUBJECT:
Acceptance of a $40,000 bequest from the Estate of Carole L. Mushier to the City of Fort Pierce South Beach Maintenance Fund.
SUMMARY:
The South Beach Maintenance Fund is a restricted account. Per Ms. Mushier's instructions, the funding will only be used to cover the costs of ongoing maintenance and new minor projects on South Beach.
Further instructed, the Public Works Director shall be responsible for utilizing the funds, and each maintenance cost and new minor project funded by the South Beach Maintenance Fund shall not exceed $5,000.

RECOMMENDATION:
Accept the bequest and restrict the funds for use as Ms. Mushier instructed.
ALTERNATIVES:
Not accept the bequest and return the funds to the estate.
