SUBJECT:
Approval of termination agreement for Surplus Property Sale Agreement for 612 N 25th Street.
SUMMARY:
On November 14, 2023, the FPRA entered into an Agreement pursuant to Resolution No. 23-05 for the sale of property located at 612 North 25th Street, Fort Pierce, FL 34947. The Agreement required the Grantee to develop a neighborhood park, the Village Garden of Hope, according to a specified Development Timeline. Per the Agreement, the Grantee was obligated to apply for all necessary approvals and permits within 180 calendar days of the title's conveyance. The property was conveyed on February 22, 2024, establishing an August 20, 2024, deadline. However, the Grantee did not meet this deadline.
At the FPRA meeting on December 10, 2024, the Grantee expressed his intent to return the property to the FPRA.

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends termination of the agreement.
