Approval of award of Bid No. 2025-026 for SHIP Residential Rehabilitation for 2509 Avenue K, Fort Pierce, FL to De La Hoz Builders, Inc in an amount not to exceed $72,420.00

On February 19, 2025, the Purchasing Division received specifications to go out for bid on the above subject bid. The bid was advertised on February 28 and March 9, 2025, with a scheduled opening at 10:00 AM on March 21, 2025. The invitation was sent to 610 vendors. Seven (7) vendors requested specifications with two (2) responding (28.57%) plus 0 “No Bid” (28.57% total response). Telco Investments submitted the lowest bid; however, the firm did not fully comply with the insurance requirements outlined in the bid documents. Therefore, we are unable to proceed with awarding any contracts to this firm at this time. As a result, De La Hoz Builders, Inc., was determined to be the most responsive bid.   

Staff request authorization to award Bid No. 2025-026 - SHIP Residential Rehabilitation - 2509 Avenue K, to the second-lowest bidder, De La Hoz Builders, Inc., in the amount not to exceed $72,420.00  

Staff will proceed as directed by City Commission.
