SUBJECT:
Approval to award Bid No. 2025-024 for the Avenue D Resurfacing from 29th Street to US 1 project to C. W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $4,072,873.50.
SUMMARY:
On April 15, 2024 the City Commission issued Resolution No 24-R24 acknowledge the General Appropriation Grant (GAA) from the State of Florida in the amount of $1,500,000. The agreement (FM# 453170-1-54-01) required City coordination with FDOT to authorize and approve the project.
On July 18, 2025 FDOT provided a letter of concurrence to award Bid No 2025-024 to C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc.

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff is now requesting City authorization and approval to move forward with the contract with C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the Avenue D Resurfacing from 29th Street to US 1 project. A finalized contract document will return for City Commission approval, signature, and execution.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not accept the bid and rebid the project. Note that this may put the Grant funding in jeopardy.
