Review and approve CRA Advisory Committee Recommendations for Commercial Facade Grant Application for 100 S 2^nd Street in the amount of $20,788.75 – Galleria at Downtown Fort Pierce, LLC

The CRA Advisory Committee has completed its evaluation of the latest round of Commercial Façade Grant Program applications. This program is designed to eliminate blight and enhance the visual appearance of properties within the FPRA district, encouraging private reinvestment, economic development, and job creation. It provides 50% matching grants, up to $25,000, for eligible exterior improvements.

In this round, six committee members evaluated the submitted applications, with a maximum possible score of 600 points per application.

Project Description:
Proposed improvements at 100 S 2^nd Street, submitted by Galleria at Downtown Fort Pierce, LLC., include the replacing of 15 second-story windows with impact-resistant glass windows.

Score:
The application received a score of 299 out of 600 points (49%).

This action represents the initial step in the grant award process. If the Board approves the Committee’s recommendation, staff will draft a grant agreement for Galleria at Downtown Fort Pierce, LLC., to be presented at a future FPRA Board meeting for final approval.

Staff anticipates that additional applications will be submitted before the August 15, 2025, deadline. These will be evaluated in a subsequent review cycle.
 

Goal 7 = The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency shall increase private sector investment and business development within the Community Redevelopment Area.
Goal 9 - The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency shall support small businesses, start-up businesses and support entrepreneurial activity within the Redevelopment Area.
