SUBJECT:
FPRA Resolution 25-17 Approving the Purchase of Real Property Located at 1238 Avenue D, Fort Pierce, Florida, in the Amount of $150,000.
SUMMARY:
Resolution 25-17 provides authorization to purchase the property located at 1238 Avenue D for $150,000.00. The property is currently vacant and in blighted condition. Its strategic location, between the Highwaymen Museum and the 13th Street Plaza, makes it a key site for revitalization within the Community Redevelopment Area. Acquisition of this parcel will allow the FPRA to pursue a block-wide redevelopment that maximizes community impact and advances several objectives of the Redevelopment Plan.
FPRA REDEVELOPMENT PLAN GOAL/POLICY
Goal 4 - The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency shall evaluate opportunities for site and facility acquisition to implement the Goals, Policies and Projects/Activities of the Fort Pierce Community Redevelopment Plan.
Policy 20.2 - The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency shall evaluate and identify opportunities, including land acquisition and demolition of derelict structures to create additional green and open spaces within the Community Redevelopment Area.

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends adoption of FPRA Resolution 25-17.
