Approval of Johnson-Davis, Inc. Specific Authorization No. 3 Change Order 1 in the amount of $97,602.00 for Fairway Drive drainage repairs between Grandview Blvd. and Trinidad Ave. 

The Fairway Drive Drainage Repairs extends between Grandview Boulevard and Trinidad Avenue. The project includes replacing 1,131.10 linear feet (0.22 miles) of main trunk line pipe of both 36-inch and 42-inch reinforced concrete pipes (RCP), storm manhole and rehabilitation of structures along with roadway and right-of-way restorations. The project was approved at the February 18, 2025, City Commission meeting. During the drainage installations, the previous abandoned 42-inch RCP drainage pipe was found not to be grouted as per the approved 2007 plans. Leaving the abandoned line as is would cause future sinkhole issues and undermine the newly replaced parallel line. Additional structures were required as crews encountered modified existing structures so that the existing pipes could fit at the time. The modified structures therefore had to be broken through to install the new pipes at the necessary elevations. The newly installed pipes will be cleaned and CCTV to ensure there are no issues. The project is completing final restorations.
