SUBJECT:
Approval of Specific Authorization No. 1 with Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. for Construction Management, Engineering and Inspection (CEI) Services for the Surfside Neighborhood Roadway Improvements Phase II in the amount not to exceed $284,027.
SUMMARY:
The City desires professional consultant services to support the construction of the proposed Phase II Surfside Neighborhood Roadway Improvements Phase II (Bid No. 2025-014) consisting of construction phase management, inspection and material testing services. The roadway improvement project consists of the addition of valley gutters, roadway rehabilitation/reconstruction, utility relocations and drainage improvements on the following seven streets:
1. Sunset Isle Road
2. Cypress Avenue
3. Eucalyptus Avenue
4. Walnut Court
5. Plover Avenue
6. Pelican Drive
7. Melaleuca Drive
Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. (KHA) is the engineer of record (EOR) for the design of the roadway project. KHA will continue to serve as the EOR, construction phase management, which includes conducting field observations and performing materials testing services to document the contractor's work and certifying the project.
