Approval of the expenditure in the amount of $83,717.84 for a 2026 Isuzu NPR-HD, Crew Cab Dump Truck pursuant to the Florida Sheriff's Association Contract No.FSA25-VEH23.0, subject to piggyback contract approval at a later date.

The Public Works Department is requesting approval to piggyback Florida Sheriff's Association Contract No. FSA25-VEH23.0 (bid effective from 10/01/25 through 9/30/27), Specification No. 23, for the purchase of a 2026, Isuzu NPR-HD, Crew Cab Dump Truck  from Nextran Truck Centers, Fort Meyers, FL., in accordance with the attached quote, for the amount not to exceed $83,717.94.

The Parks and Grounds Division will utilize the 2026 Isuzu NPR-HD Crew Cab Dump Truck to transport crews, tools, and materials for daily maintenance, landscaping, and park improvement projects throughout the City. The Crew Cab design allows an entire work team to travel together, reducing the number of vehicles needed and enhancing coordination. Additionally, the dump body enables efficient hauling of soil, mulch, debris, and bulk materials. 

During natural disasters and emergency response operations, this vehicle will be crucial for debris removal, storm cleanup, and the swift mobilization of personnel and equipment to affected areas. Its versatility improves response times, enhances job-site safety, and decreases dependence on rented equipment or contractors, resulting in lower costs and faster restoration of City parks, roadways, and public spaces following emergencies.
