SUBJECT:
SUMMARY:
FPRA Resolution 26-07 authorizes the execution of an Interlocal Agreement with the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority for the design and installation of a public art mural on the FPUA-owned water tank located at Jaycee Park. This partnership supports FPRA’s ongoing placemaking initiatives by enhancing a highly visible public asset, contributing to the visual character of the waterfront, and promoting arts and culture within the redevelopment area.
Under the terms of the Interlocal Agreement, FPRA will fund the mural installation, including artist compensation and materials, in an amount not to exceed $60,000. FPUA will be responsible for surface preparation of the tank, providing site access, and maintaining the mural for a minimum period of five (5) years.
The selection of the mural design and artist will be a joint effort between FPRA and FPUA. FPRA will issue a Call for Artists through the CaFE platform, and submissions will be evaluated by a joint selection committee, with final approval by both Boards.
This collaborative approach ensures coordination between both agencies to deliver a high-impact public art project at Jaycee Park.
