SUBJECT:
Approval of Culpepper and Terpening, Inc., Specific Authorization No. 5 for the Jetty Park Pier Survey at an amount of $6,200
SUMMARY:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is currently in the process of amending our existing Lease Agreement to encompass the pier section of the park, as the current agreement only pertains to the adjacent parcel. This amendment will eliminate the necessity for a separate license agreement for the pier, thereby relieving the City from the obligation of engaging in five-year renewals. Furthermore, this consolidation will allow the City to manage two Army Corps parcels under a single lease, which remains valid until 2034. To proceed with the lease amendment, the Army Corps requires a survey of the pier to be conducted by the City. Therefore, City staff would like to engage the services of Culpepper and Terpening, Inc. to conduct a survey at a cost of $6,200 through the continuing contract for professional engineering services.
