SUBJECT:
Approve and execute the Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to FDOT Contract G-2X21 for a time extension to December 31, 2027.
SUMMARY:
FDOT Agreement G-2X21 was fully executed on April 29, 2024 and provided $1.5 million in General Appropriation Act grant funding for the construction of the Avenue D Improvements from N 29th Street to US 1. Agreement G-2X21 has an expiration date of June 30, 2026. Staff has coordinated with FDOT to obtain a time extension for construction activities to be completed by December 31, 2027.
The current Notice to Proceed for the contractor to begin work on the Avenue D project is May 26, 2026. The current construction completion date is February 18, 2027.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval and execution of the Supplemental Agreement for G-2X21.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not execute the Supplemental Agreement. Note that the Grant funding will be relinquished.
