SUBJECT:
Approval to purchase street lighting materials directly from FPUA at a cost of $170,387.80 for the Indian River Drive Roadway Reconstruction as part of a savings effort.
SUMMARY:
The Indian River Drive Roadway Reconstruction project improvements include street lighting materials at a cost of $226,261.52. However, by proceeding with a direct purchase of the materials thru Fort Pierce Utilities Authority, at a cost of $170,387.80, the City of Fort Pierce will realize a savings of $55,873.72.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval.
ALTERNATIVES:
Deny and relinquish the $55,873.72 savings.
