SUBJECT:

Approval of CDBG Coach Fenn Park Improvement Project Unit Price Construction Contract with SoCal Shaker Plates & Construction Site Services, LLC dba National General Construction for General Commercial Contractor Services in the amount of $626,591.15.

SUMMARY:

On March 2, 2026, the City Commission awarded Bid No. 2026-022 CDBG Coach Fenn Park Improvement Project to the Lowest Responsible Bidder, SoCal Shaker Plates & Construction Site Services, LLC dba National General Construction, for General Commercial Contractor Services in the amount of $626,591.15.

The responsibilities of the contractor will include, but are not limited to:
  • Obtaining all necessary permits.
  • Site preparation such as clearing, grading, etc.
  • Installing utility infrastructure, including electricity, water, sewer lines and connections.
  • Constructing the parking lot.
  • Building the foundation for a prefabricated restroom to be delivered by a third party.
  • Constructing the foundation and assembling a pavilion.
  • Constructing the splash pad and pump yard.

RECOMMENDATION:

Approval to Execute the CDBG Coach Fenn Park Improvement Project Unit Price Construction Contract for General Commercial Contractor Services in the amount of $626,591.15.

ALTERNATIVES:

Staff will proceed as directed by the City Commission.
