SUBJECT:

Public Hearing and Resolution 26-R43 accepting Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Annual Action Plan 2026 – 2027.

SUMMARY:

The Program Year (PY) 2026 Annual Action Plan identifies the activities, funding allocations, and measurable objectives the City proposes to undertake during the 2026–2027 program year using Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The Annual Action Plan serves as the implementation document for the first year of the City's 2026–2030 Consolidated Plan and is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) prior to receipt of annual entitlement funding.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of Resolution 26-R43 adopting the Program Year 2026 Annual Action Plan and authorizing its submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

ALTERNATIVES:

Staff shall proceed as directed by the City Commission.

OTHER INFORMATION:

Approval of the Annual Action Plan authorizes the City's proposed use of FY2026 CDBG funds and satisfies HUD's annual planning requirements. Failure to approve and submit the Action Plan by the required deadline could delay or jeopardize the City's annual CDBG entitlement allocation.
