SUBJECT:

Approval of the Grant Agreement between St. Lucie County and the City of Fort Pierce for the funding of the Arthur Lee Boatwright Pool Renovation Project with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the amount of $300,000.00 for FY2026.

SUMMARY:

The Arthur Lee Boatwright Pool is a City-owned and highly valued community amenity that has experienced wear and deterioration over time, necessitating substantial rehabilitation to ensure its continued safe and reliable operation. Planned improvements include structural repairs, replacement of aging mechanical systems, accessibility and safety upgrades, and modernization of key pool infrastructure to improve reliability and extend the useful life of this important community asset.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of the Grant Agreement with St. Lucie County for the Arthur Lee Boatwright Pool Project.

ALTERNATIVES:

Staff will proceed as directed by the City Commission.

The City of Fort Pierce - Grants Administration Division, shall allocate and distribute to St. Lucie County up to Three Hundred Thousand Dollars, $300,000.00 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
