- Submitted For:

SUBJECT:
Resolution 26-R49 approving an Interlocal Agreement between St. Lucie County and the City of Fort Pierce for Mobile Visitor Center Outreach Activities.
SUMMARY:
St. Lucie County, through its Tourism and Venues operations and Visit St. Lucie program, operates a Mobile Visitor Center to provide tourism information, visitor engagement, and related outreach services throughout the County.
The proposed Interlocal Agreement establishes a coordinated framework that will allow the County to request placement and operation of the Mobile Visitor Center at mutually agreed-upon City-owned, City-operated, or City-managed properties and in connection with approved recurring or special events. Potential locations may include parks, waterfront areas, public parking areas, event spaces, and other appropriate public sites.
Under the Agreement, the County will not be required to obtain separate special-event or temporary-use permits or pay permit, rental, application, or site-use fees for approved Mobile Visitor Center appearances. However, each deployment remains subject to City approval, site availability, existing City operations, and previously scheduled activities. The City will retain control of its property at all times.
