SUBJECT:
Approval of travel expenses in the amount of $980.93 for Commissioner Sessions to attend the 29th National Conference on Preventing Crime in the Black Community being held May 28 - 30, 2014, in Jacksonville, Florida.
SUMMARY:
Commissioner Sessions would like for the City Commission to approve travel expenses in order to attend the 29th National Conference on Preventing Crime in the Black Community. It will take place in Jacksonville, Florida, from May 28 - 30, 2014. The conference is being held by Attorney General Pam Bondi in conjunction with other sponsors to promote communication and to encourage the sharing of ideas and prevention strategies. The agenda showcases successful programs and initiatives which provide alternatives to violence among our young people. The conference brings together educators, law enforcement officers, local and state government professionals and faith based community leaders to share their knowledge and experience,
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of travel expenses for Commissioner Sessions to attend the 29th National Conference on Preventing Crime in the Black Community.
