SUBJECT:
Resolution 16-R56 granting a Perpetual Easement at the southeast corner of Avenue A (Marina Way) and US Highway 1 to the Florida Department of Transportation.
SUMMARY:
Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is currently working on a transportation project in the city limits. During design of this project it was discovered that the current traffic equipment located at the south east corner of Avenue A (Marina Way) and U.S. Hwy 1 is located outside the existing right of way on city property. FDOT has requested an easement for 819 sq. ft.to allow access to the equipment site.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval. Pending review and approval of City Attorney
ALTERNATIVES:
Relocate existing traffic controller to existing FDOT right-of-way.
