FINDINGS/ORDER:
Matter was not heard by the Special Magistrate and no order was issued. Nuisance abatement case processed through the administrative procedures outlined in Sec. 16-49.
ACTION DATES:
- January 20, 2016 - Notice of Violations was sent via certified mail. Notice provides owner 10 days to come into compliance or to request a hearing.
- January 22, 2015 - Green card was signed by C. Bazan and returned to the Code Enforcement office.
- April 7, 2016 - Inspection was made, property was not in compliance.
- April 8, 2016 - Staff posted the property as required by Sec. 16-49.
- June 20, 2016 - The City's contractor, Gone Fishing Landscaping & More LLC, corrected the violations.
- August 22, 2016 - Invoice mailed to property owner. Invoice provides an additional opportunity to contest the charges prior to a lien being filed.
- September 6, 2016 - Ms. Jane A Bazan sent notice to the City contesting the charges.
RECOMMENDATION:
Total amount of Nuisance Abatement lien is $1,225.00. ($1125.00 for charge, $100.00 admin. fees)
