SUBJECT:
Approval of Interlocal Agreement Between the City of Fort Pierce and St. Lucie County Building Departments to Share Certified Building Inspectors.
SUMMARY:
Pursuant to Section 163.01, Florida Statutes, Florida Interlocal Cooperation Act, St. Lucie County is requesting an Interlocal Agreement in cooperation with the City of Fort Pierce to share the services of certified building inspectors. If approved, when services are needed, a request will be presented in writing. If a certified building inspector is not available, the other entity must be notified within twenty-four (24) hours. A fee has been determined of $50 per hour, and invoicing will occur monthly for the work performed. Payment will be due within 30 days of the billing date. Either party may terminate the Agreement without cause by giving thirty (30) days advance written notice to the other party.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the approval of the Interlocal Agreement Between the City of Fort Pierce and St. Lucie County Building Departments to Share Certified Building Inspectors.
ALTERNATIVES:
The City of Fort Pierce does not enter into the Interlocal Agreement.
