CORRECTIVE ACTIONS:

  1. In addition to the repairs taking place with the financial assistance of the City of Fort Pierce, the following additional repairs must be made in the bathroom:
  • Rotten wood around the shower must be replaced.
  • Patch work framing that is incorrect or nonexistent must be replaced.
  • The drywall that was replaced without a permit was installed incorrectly and must be replaced.
  • The bathroom needs to be gutted and completely reconstructed from the shower drain up, with a new shower pan, plumbing, tile and drywall.
  • A permit will be required for the above repairs.

RECOMMENDATION:

The City requests that if the Special Magistrate finds the violation exists, the violator(s) be given 60 days to obtain a permit and comply with all permit conditions or a fine of $100.00 per day be assessed.
