SUBJECT:

Notification of Director of Development's approval of a Minor Amendment to Site Plan & Design Review for the Wawa Fueling Station approved for 5575 Okeechobee Road. The Minor Amendment accommodates access and retention adjustments required with permitting by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) & South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD).

SUMMARY:

  • The applicant filed a minor amendment to the approved Site Plan to accommodates access and retention adjustments required for permitting by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) & South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD).
  • The adjustments shift the western access from Jenkins Road to the south approximately 15 ft., and expands the retention area, otherwise the project to complete a 6,119 SF fueling station with a detached canopy for fuel pumps and outdoor dining area remains as approved.
  • The property owner has completed demolition of the previous structures to prepare the site for construction.
  • The Director of Development has administratively approved the Minor Amendment based upon consistency with Section 22-58(i) and the Comprehensive Plan.

RECOMMENDATION:

View Approved Minor Amendment

ALTERNATIVES:

Present findings that the proposed amendment is substantial, not minor, in nature, whereupon the amendment shall then be reviewed by the same procedure required for original approval as set forth in this section.
