SUBJECT:
Approve payment of United States District Court Southern District of Florida Final Judgment to Kristen Anderson in the amount of $283,500 plus interest.
SUMMARY:
The United States District Court Southern District of Florida has issued Final Judgment in the case of Kristen Anderson vs. City of Fort Pierce. The sum of $283,500.00 plus interest must be paid . Although the City maintains insurance through the Florida League of Cities, this matter is not covered under the City's policy.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Final Judgment payment to Kristen Anderson in the amount of $283,500.00 plus interest.

Deny Final Judgment payment to Kristen Anderson in the amount of $283,500.00 plus interest.

The Finance Department is identifying a funding source. The Final Judgment of $283,500.00 plus interest must be paid. Interest is accruing on a daily basis and the expense will continue to increase.
