SUBJECT:
Approve Gentile Corporation as the lowest responsive bidder to Bid No. 2017-029 for an amount not to exceed $16,990 for rehabilitation of 517 North 16th Street funded through the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) program.
SUMMARY:
According to the SHIP Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP), the City may provide Owner-Occupied Housing rehabilitation to upgrade substandard houses. SHIP assistance is provided to income-eligible owner-occupied households on a first come, first qualified, first served basis.
The bid was advertised on October 4 and 16, 2017, with a scheduled opening at 3:00 PM on October 25, 2017.
The bid invitation was sent to 452 vendors. Five (5) vendors requested specifications with two (2) responding (40%) plus 0 "No Bids" (40% total response).
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Gentile Corporation as the lowest responsive bidder for Bid # 2017-029 in an amount not to exceed $16,990.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not approve the award of Bid No. 2017-029.
