SUBJECT:
Legislative Hearing - Ordinance 17-037 amending Chapter 5 - Buildings and Building Regulations, Section 5-19(a) in order to remove the Director of Building and Community Response from the Board of Examiners of Contractors. FIRST READING
SUMMARY:
To ensure there is no conflict with the Government in the Sunshine Laws and to adhere to its provisions, it is necessary to remove the Building Director from the Board of Examiners of Contractors.
RECOMMENDATION:
To adopt Ordinance 17-037 to remove the Building Director from the Board of Examiners of Contractors to be in compliance with the Government in the Sunshine Laws.
ALTERNATIVES:
To not adopt Ordinance 17-037 as it is written to remove the Building Director from the Board of Examiners of Contractors.
