SUBJECT:
Approve the purchase of the six (6) remaining trail markers from Ampersand Graphics, Stuart, FL, in accordance with the attached quote, as a single source commodity in the amount of $17.050.02.
SUMMARY:
Phase I of Highwaymen Heritage Trail Project has been completed, first three (3) signs have been designed, installed and vendor paid. A grant was approved and awarded through the Florida Humanities Council during Fiscal Year 2012 which funded Phase I. The grant has been awarded for the final phase of the project, design and installation of the remaining six (6) trail markers.
Ampersand Graphics designed the trail markers for Phase I and for standardization staff is requesting that this item is treated as a "single source" purchase.
The Purchasing Department has reviewed and investigated this request and found that all information and justification to be correct.
Project completion is anticipated for January 2015

RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the purchase of the six (6) remaining trail markers from Ampersand Graphics, Stuart, FL, in accordance with the attached quote, as a single source commodity in the amount of $17.050.02.

FISCAL IMPACT:
50% of this expense will be reimbursed to the City via a grant from the Florida Humanities Council. The remaining 50% was allocated through CDBG's 'Art in Public Places' activity during the 2013-2014 program year.
