SUBJECT:
Request approval of contract extension and proposal for miscellaneous consulting services by Cardno for the King property in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00.
SUMMARY:
Upon receipt of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Site Rehabilitation Completion Order (SRCO), the city will be eligible for bonus tax credits amounting to 25% of the remediation costs estimated to reach the $500,000 cap allowed by the State. Cardno has been requested to provide a proposal for the preparation of the final bonus tax credit application and to provide miscellaneous consulting services that may arise. Cardno's proposed lump sum fee for the FDEP application is $8,100. Additional services, which will require prior written authorization, will be performed on a time and materials basis with a not to exceed budget of $25,000.
RECOMMENDATION:
Engineering recommends approval of this contract extension and proposal.
ALTERNATIVES:
Request alternative proposals from qualified consultants.
