SUBJECT:
Request approval of Resolution No. 14-R32, authorizing the execution of FDOT's Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement and Federal-Aid Funding Request providing for the construction of sidewalks along Havana Avenue, South 21st Street and Kaufman Avenue.
SUMMARY:
This LAP Agreement and Federal-Aid Funding Request provides federal funding in the amount of $320,324.00 for the overall $343,189.00 construction project. Sidewalks and related drainage improvements will be constructed along Havana Avenue between S. 13th Street and S. 21st Street, along S. 21st Street between Nebraska and Havana, and along Kaufman Avenue between 23rd Street and Okeechobee Road. This sidewalk project will connect to the City's PAL Park and provide a safe route for pedestrian travel.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends execution for the LAP Agreement and the Federal-Aid Funding Request.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The $343,189.00 project will initially be funded by SMU Account No. 403-4300-538-3490 with reimbursement by FDOT in the amount of $320,324.00 FDOT. The $22,865.00 unreimbursed balance will remain funded by SMU as this cost covers the project's stormwater related work.
